Jimmie Bones on the ROCKSPELL record!!!

This past year I was proudly involved in recording a record from which the proceeds will provide hospitalized children with musical instruments and music therapy via the Dick Wagner “Remember the Child Fund”. The album called ‘ROCKSPELL’ was produced by iconic producer Jack Douglas (Aerosmith, Cheap Trick, John Lennon, Patti Smith, New York Dolls) and features the incredible talents of the Detroit Youth Choir backed by yours truly Jimmie Bones on keyboards as well as string and horn arrangements and my ace musical pals Garret Bielaniec (Alice Cooper ‘Detroit Stories’) on guitar, Johnny Bee Badanjek (Mitch Ryder and the Detroit Wheels, The Rockets, Edgar Winter, Alice Cooper) on drums, and Paul Randolph (Alice Cooper ‘Detroit Stories’, Mark Farner) on bass. Jack Douglas and co-producer Susan Michelson wished to create a joyous fusion of Rock n Roll, RnB, and Gospel which we recorded at Plymouth Rock Recording Company. The Detroit Youth Choir which won 2nd place on season 14 of ‘America's Got Talent’ and more recently Golden Buzzer Winners on ‘America’s Got Talent All Stars 2023’ bring the youthful spirit of Metro Detroit to classic hits. ROCKSPELL was considered for six Grammy nominations and is now nominated for ‘Outstanding National Recording’ in the 2023 Detroit Music Awards. The record is now available on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon Music, Pandora, TIDAL, YouTube, Shazam by clicking https://ingrv.es/rockspell-48m-v as well as CD and Vinyl by clicking https://amzn.to/41i6luh

Jimmie Bones performs in SHAKE, RATTLE, & ROCK video series for hospitalized children.

I am proud to have provided a performance in the SHAKE, RATTLE, & ROCK video series from the Dick Wagner "Remember The Child" Fund. In the program I performed a solo acoustic set of songs in which I focused on education about songwriters who have influenced so much. This new music video series features virtuoso musicians, with content produced especially for pediatric patients. Our videos are broadcast free of charge, directly into hospital rooms and care facilities for hospitalized children and their families to enjoy. Shake, Rattle & Rock provides music enrichment for the children and helps reduce the loneliness of isolation. We bring the healing power of music to life! Some of the other artists performing in the series are Suzi Quatro, Sandy Genarro, Micki Free, Brian Hardgroove, and Allison Loveyoy. Jimmie Bones and legendary blues and reggae guitarist/singer/songwriter Donald Kinsey will be performing at the ‘Rock & Blues’ event on Saturday 25th, 2021 at the Charles A. Donald Kinsey best known as guitarist with Bob Marley & the Wailers, Peter Tosh, and The Kinsey Report has also been a band member of Albert King and still currently tours with The Wailers and Kinsey Report. The venue was recently the subject of a documentary titled ‘Our Family, Our Home: Charles A. Conklin American Legion Post 28’ which has been airing in Michigan on PBS. The film was made to commemorate the centennial year of Post 28 whose namesake was from Grand Haven, MI. and who lost his life serving in WWI. Two songs, ‘Devil’s Trail’ and ‘Come As You Are’ from the Jimmie Bones release Snakebit and Wandering are featured in the documentary. Tickets to the event are $20.00 and include a craft beer and wine tasting along with appetizers. Tickets are on sale at Post 28, 700 S. Harbor Dr., Grand Haven, MI 49417.
